huiqi writes her dreams down, though of course hers are scarier and crazier, but i shall do it too. wahaha.

i had the weirdest dream last night, something tt surprisinglty i can rmb when i woke up today -

i dreamt it was grandma's birthday and we had a cake for her, an amazing cake, i remember. i dont know why, but we only needed 8 candles for it. it didnt occur to me tt the number of candles was weird or anything though, just tt it was important tt it was 8 candles.

i remember grandma dancing with beautiful blue glow-in-the-dark candles in a candlestick in front of me, really happy. and then someone said the candles should be with the cake. i didnt see the cake though. when i next entered the living room in grandma's house the candles were on top of firecracker/dynamite hybrids standing straight up. one candle caught the fuse of a stick of firecracker/dynamite hybrid and it started to fizz and crackle. we started getting afraid and i remember turning around at one point, covering my ears.

it exploded, a blue fireball flew up about 1 metre and landed on the marble floor. i wasnt afraid then, cause next moment siyi was there with a fire extinguisher extinguishing that fireball.

[dream started to go hazy here, dont remember what happened next]

but after tt i remember we were all caught in a flood of water, probably sprinklers were set off with the rest of the hybrid firecrackers blowing up.

and the last scene - me treading water and the cake floating past me, with the words 'LIGHTING CANDLES FAIL' in Impact Bold font right across the screen.

this dream seemed like a mix of the recent CSI:NY episode (hence the flood of water), me thinking abt cake, reading tintin before bed (hence the dynamite), thinking about Galileo because im watching a Higashino Keigo novel-turned-drama right now (hence the blue fireball), and my imagination putting it all together. =D heh.

i think the only thing novel abt this was the 8 candles.

why EIGHT candles, dammit.
